Jaime Camil (born Jaime Federico Said Camil de Saldaña Da Gama, 22 July 1973) is a Mexican actor, singer and host of several events. Jaime Camil is one of the most well-known actors in Latin America. He earned a license in business administration from Universidad Anáhuac; studied acting in New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico; and took classical opera training in Italy. Camil's acting is marked by high energy and an innate talent for comedy, both verbal and physical. He enjoys extreme sports and has crossed both South Africa and Mexico by motorcycle. Camil speaks four languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.

His two Platinum albums ‘Para Estar Contigo’ and ‘Una Vez Mas’ were produced by Grammy winners Rudy Perez and Kilke Santander. Jaime also participated in the musical recordings of ‘The Last Goodbye’ (produced by Emilio Estefan to help the victims of 9/11), ‘Zapata Soundtrack’ with the song ‘La Tiera De Mi Pueblo’ and ‘La Fea Mas Bella’ singing a duet written by Amaury Gutiérrez with co-star Angélica Vale. He has hosted several events and award shows such as ‘Premios Juventud’ and ‘Fox Sports Awards’ to mention a few.

He started in films like ‘A Propósito de Alexa’, ‘7 Days’ (nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2006 ARIEL Awards and winner of the 2006 Diosa de Plata Award for Best Supporting Actor), ‘All Inclusive’, ‘Pink Fists’, ‘I Love Miami’ and ‘Zapata’ (nominated for Best Actor in the 2005 MTV Movie Awards) and worked in the short films ‘Mariana Made In Tepito’ and ‘Volver, Volver’. He dubbed the voice for Latin America of ‘Elliot, the Mule Deer’ in the movie ‘Open Season’. He is the co-founder of the ‘Shortshorts Film Festival Mexico’ and an ambassador for UNICEF in Mexico. In 2007 he leads the musicals ‘El Diluvio Que Viene’ playing Silvestre and ‘Peter Pan’ playing Capt. Hook alongside Lolita Cortés in Mexico City. He lead the 2005 bound of Broadway Musical ‘The Mambo Kings’ in the role of Nestor Castillo at The Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco, CA. and worked with Eugenio Derbéz in the 2005 Broadway show ‘Latinologues’ directed by Cheech Marin at the Helen Hayes Theater in New York. He played Bernardo in the 2004 Mexican Production of ‘West Side Story’ and won the equivalent of a Tony Award for ‘Best Lead Actor In A Musical’. He was the leading man in Televisa’s soap operas ‘Mi Destino Eres Tú’ and ‘Mujer De Madera’ (nominated for Best Actor in the 2005 TV y Novelas Awards ). He also led one of the most successful soap opera of all times both in Latin America and in the US: ‘La Fea Más Bella’ (nominated for Best Actor in the 2007 TV y Novelas Awards ).
