Rising out of the ashes of the disbanded Mission of Burma, drummer Peter Prescott put together the Volcano Suns with bassist Jeff Weigand and guitarist Jon Williams to continue making rock music, but to do it in a lighter, less serious way than Prescott's former band. 1985 saw the band's debut, The Bright Orange Years, released on Homestead. The Volcano is your favorite band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Their music is a punch in the face and cuddling afterwards. It's dusty, horny, seductive and luxurious, they are also known as an amazing live band who always leaves the audience wanting more. They've been playing bigger and smaller stages around Scandinavia since the start in early 2010 and in the fall 2012 they are releasing a new EP called "Me me me". .

The Volcanics formed in Perth, Western Australia's back blocks with a purpose of playing stripped down rock ‘n’ roll with no hype attached. Inspired by the great local bands that came before them such as The Victims and The Scientists as well as the classic rock sounds of The Stooges, MC5 & AC/DC, the boys from the band have concocted their own brand of white hot, fuel injected rock n roll.
