Haunted Castle is the psytrance project of Gerõ Hortobágyi and Gergõ Bocsi from Budapest, Hungary. Both of them have been making psychedelic music separately for a couple of years now. The Old Haunts are Craig Extine (The Serum Greys, Venereal Uppers, Fallout Dregs), Scott Seckington (The Transfused, Two Ton Boa (guest) Ika Panthers, LLP, Sedan, Verticalville) & Curtis James (Excuse 17, Kill Sybil, Popular Music, The Reagan Years, The Stowaways, The Serum Greys), a Punk band from Olympia, WA. They've released two EPs, and three albums(Fallow Field in 2005, Fuel On Fire in 2006, and Poisonous Times in 2008). .

Considering the other-worldly, dramaticly sinister persona conjured on this record, it is almost a shame to divulge the real man behind Haunted George. Listening to this album you really want to believe there's a grizzled Jim Thompson protagonist toiling away as a shut-in one man band somewhere out in the middle of the Mojave Desert. And in fact, that's mostly actually the case. Anyone familiar with Steve Pallow of the Beguiled and the Necessary Evils, two of the more misanthropic, anti-social bands (among strong competition) who recorded for Crypt and In The Red Records over the past 20 years, should...
