Три молодых человека из Кёльна (Германия) в 2011 году объединились в группу «AnnenMayKantereit», названием которой стали фамилии участников.
В 2013 году группа выпустила свой первый самостоятельно записанный альбом "AMK".
В разное время с группой выступали приглашённые музыканты: Lars Lötgering (бас-гитара) и Ferdinand Schwarz (труба).
В 2014 году к команде присоединился новый постоянный участник, и на данный момент группа выглядит так:

Существует как минимум пять групп с названием In Loving Memory:
1) In Loving Memory - screamo группа из города Де-Мойн, штат Айова, США.
Образовались в августе 1998 года. На момент создания группы участникам было по 14-15 лет. Ребятам нравились такие команды, как: Disembodied, At The Gates at the time, Fed by Ravens. Gegen Ende der achziger Jahre begann Mory sich in der Hip Hop Kultur einzuleben und kurz darauf seine eigene Reime zu schreiben. Er traf sich mit gleich gesinnten zu Freestyle-Sessions und machte erste Billigaufnahmen.
Ende der neunziger Jahre gründeten Jake und Fred PW-Records. Sie produzierten 1998 Griot's ersten offiziellen Tonträger "s'Rosebett", den er unter dem früheren Namen Mory veröffentlichte.
Ende 2002 erschien unter dem Namen Mory das Album "s'neue Testament'. Anfangs 2003 war auch er auf der Produktion "Beatleggers Pt.1" vertreten, welche in Zusammenarbeit mit Wicht, Kongo, EKR und DJ Sweap entstanden ist.

Manfila was born into a jali family and played balafon and guitar as a child. He joined Les Ballets Africains, moved to Bamako during the '60s and joined the Rail Band, which featured Salif Keita and Mory Kante at the time. He and Keita moved over to Les Ambassadeurs in the early '70s, beginning a fruitful collaborative relationship. Both pursued solo careers in the '80s, with Manfila moving to Paris and recording in both small, traditional groups and big dance bands. .
Memory Garden was formed in december 1992 in Kumla, Sweden. They began their carrier with some demo and EP releases which woke the interest of the small Swedish label Heathendoom Music. They then got the chance to release a MCD called "Forever" in 1995 and their first full-length album entitled "Tides" in 1996. Both CD´s were very well received among the buying public and Memory Garden got excellent reviews in magazines all over Europe.
