The Gaye Blades began as a side project of The Black Lips' bassist Jared Swilley and The Lids' singer/guitarist Bobby Ubangi. Upon the release of their first 7", 'I'd Brave Anything for You' (Rob's House / Die Slaughterhaus), the band settled on a final lineup and began playing shows more frequently.
