German Rock/Blues band founded 1977 in Rodgau, Hessia. The band is especially popular in the Rhein-Main area around Frankfurt/Main and in the German federal state of Hessia because of their biggest success Die Hesse komme! from 1984 which became an unofficial hymn for the region. Erectus Monotone were a short-lived cool-named avant-garde indie-rock band from Chapel Hill, NC, formed probably sometime around the summer of 1989. Three of them, Kevin Collins (vocals, guitar), Andy Freeburn (guitar,vocals) and Will "Casper" Lee (drums) had been jamming together previously with another fellow named David Jordan, but things hadn't really worked out.
