The Fierce & The Dead is the brainchild of Matt Stevens (guitars) Kev Feazey (bass) and Stuart Marshall (drums), a trio of friends who have been playing together for more than ten years, helping each other in different bands, and also as solo artists. The Urgency was formed in the winter of 2005, but its roots go back much deeper than that. Founding members Ian Molla and Kevin Coffrin grew up in Vermont and have been writing and playing together in various bands spanning as far back as 1997. Both were accepted into the prestigious jazz program at Ithaca college in 2001 to better their understanding of music and their instruments.
