The Hogs were an American 1960s psychedelic garage rock band from San José, California. They recorded the single Blues Theme / Loose Lip Sync Ship. They were an early incarnation of The Chocolate Watchband with Dave Aguilar (vocals), Mark Loomis (guitar), Sean Tolby (guitar), Bill Flores (bass) and Gary Andrijasevich (drums). .

The roots of the Electric Love Hogs go back to San Diego, USA, where Feldmann and Hendrix/Metallica fanatic Donny Campion had been playing together since they were 15. The two hooked up with the Glendale, California-born Fernandez and Salem, Oregon native and Kiss Army member LeMieux to play their first gigs in San Diego before moving to L.A. to try cracking the local club scene. They eventually added another guitarist in Kushner, a veteran of the punk scene with Wasted Youth and the 28-piece Trulio Disgracias, a loose-knit conglomeration of musicians which included members of Fishbone and the Chili Peppers....
The Groundhogs fronted by Tony McPhee on guitar and vocals were a top progressive blues rock group. Emerging in the early sixties as a blues band, noted for backing visiting American Blues Artists such as John Lee Hooker. The band evolved in the latter part of the sixties into a heavy rock group scoring a hit with their fourth and possibly most popular album 'Split'. Through the seventies the band continued to record and play live as a trio with changing band members, towards the end of the seventies recording as a four piece with addition of a second guitar....
