Mechapon, one of the many aliases of Twin Cities producer Andy Brinkman, is a project that seeks to weave a cohesive musical tapestry from a number of unlikely sources. Mechp's songs blend equal parts 60's orchestral pop, classic soul, psych rock and hip hop. A true postmodernist, Mechp's tracks teem with densely woven layers of samples to create an audio world that is at once familiar and completely original.
