The Cincinnati Jug Band was an American jug band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1920s. Much of the information concerning the involved musicians' personal background is obscured; however, the group is still remembered for being one of the earliest recorded jug bands of the era. The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra based in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, was founded in 1977 and the late Erich Kunzel was named its conductor. Maestro Kunzel, celebrated his 40th season with the orchestra in 2005-2006, and continued to lead the Pops until his death in 2009.
