amazarashi is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 2007 in Mutsu, Aomori, Japan. It consists of leader, vocalist, and guitarist 秋田ひろむ (Hiromu Akita), and keyboardist 豊川真奈美 (Manami Toyokawa). Composer/arranger 出羽良彰 (Yoshiaki Dewa) also contributes to the band. In December 2009, they released an album 0. as a limited release of 500 copies in Aomori. Since the album created a lot of buzz and they were flooded with inquiries, they eventually released the album nationwide as 0.6. As a child Zara took part in a theatrical version of Sound of Music at the Göta Lejon Theatre in Stockholm, playing the part of Marta. Starting from old analog synthesizers and cosmic rock improvisations, Giancarlo Toniutti studied electronic music at the Conservatory in Venice in the early eighties. His interest in visuals, installations and other art forms has been reflected in many of his works and other phenomena simply defined by Toniutti as "sound sites" as well as projects based on heterogeneous approaches to sonic acoustic materials. Since 1985 Giancarlo has worked only with acoustic sound-sources using analog treatments (magnetic tape etc). Starting under the title of Beyond in 1993 on a Yamaha PSR-410, writing original works and remixing music from video games, the music and artist both expanded as did the equipment until roughly 2001 where financial and personal difficulties put the music on hold.
