In spite of a most favorable family context - his mother being a violinist and his father happily devoting himself to the piano -, it wasn't until the age of ten that Jean-Philippe discovered piano playing when he started his classical music studies. PLASTIC BERTRAND is best known for the 1977 single "Ça plane pour moi" which was released just one month after Elton Motello's "Jet Boy, Jet Girl", which has the same backing track in UK. While credited to PLASTIC BERTRAN, the original recording "Ça plane pour moi" was sung by the song's producer, Lou Deprijck.
