X RAY POP are the synth-pop duo of Doc Pilot and Zouka Dzaza from Tours, France. They got their start in the no wave art group Bocal 5 in 1981 and split off in 1984 to focus on their own brand of quirky synthesized electronics. Influenced by Erik Satie, Brigitte Bardot, Suicide and Young Marble Giants, they call their music “minimum naive new wave.” Armed with a Casio PT-20 keyboard and a rudimentary Yamaha MR10 drum machine they recorded their demo...
X-Rays are a band from Nottingham, UK playing barely-in-control, beer soaked garage punk since 1994. Between 1994-1999 they released 2 albums on Empty Records, USA and various 7"s on labels including Get Hip records (USA), Savage Records (Sweden) and Ken Rock Records (Sweden).
In 2012 they reformed and in 2013 released a split 7" with Livids (ex- New Bomb Turks). Also to be released is a new 7" on Big Neck Records, USA and a singles collection album on High Noon Records (Germany).
