There are a few bands with the name Armour: 1) Armour, a metal band from Finland, who started in 2006. 2) Armour, a South African post-hardcore band, who started in 2003. Brought to life in 2006 exceptionally by the members of Black Metal bands, Armour represents the Finnish Heavy Metal scene in its finest old-school vein. The project consists of the singer / drummer from Satanic Warmaster Vince "Werewolf" Venom, the guitarist Mike "Aor Jumala" Slutz (ex-Blasphemous Evil), the bassist Pete "Sixshooter" Talker, and Johnny River who took over the drummer role after legendary Jake "The Goat" Spring from Goatmoon....

Armoured Angel was a Death metal band from Canberra, Australia. They were arguably one of the earliest bands in the world to play what later came to be known as death metal. The group was also responsible for the foundation of Australia's biggest metal festival, Metal For The Brain. They released a handful of demos, two EPs, and a single full length throughout their entire musical career. A post-punk 'super' group formed by Richard Jobson, ex-Skids frontman and the impeccable John McGeoch ex-Magzine ex-Banshees now sadly not with us. Their high water mark was 'Waiting For The Floods'. Unfortunately the floods never came due in large part to their anachronistic sound. Majestic but alas way past it's sell by date. That said the Glory of Love and Castles In Spain are a joy to the ears. Jobbers Wagneresque mini-epics. Worth a few listens. .
