Crack Rock Steady was formed on the basis of Ska-Punk, with influences of Hardcore, Metal and Reggae.
It was originally practiced in New York City by bands such as Choking Victim, who broke up and formed, Morning Glory, INDK, and most succesfully Leftover Crack.
Other Bands followed these ones, like the Infested, Star Fucking Hipsters, The Stupid Stupid Henchmen, and Union Jack.
The name of the Genre is a parody of Rocksteady (Slow Ska) and "Rocks" of the drug Cocaine. .
