"Drag" has been used in various internet publications (notably an article in the UK newspaper the Guardian) to describe a handful of bands playing minimal, goth-informed and synth-heavy trap/crack-hop influenced music at slow tempos. This tag has been applied to artists like oOoOO and SALEM. Their music could be described as applying the aesthetic of screw music to classic coldwave or darkwave, particularly because some of these groups, like SALEM, demonstrate a noticeable hip-hop influence in their drum programming and pitch-shifted or slowed-down vocals. Drag music is closely related to "witch house", a typically less hip-hop influenced style with an aesthetic similar to drag.
