Karaoke is a shortened term meaning "Empty (kara) Orchestra". It is a healthy form of entertainment where an amateur (read drunk), not so amateur (read not to bad on the ears) or totally awesome singer get up and have a go at their favorite songs. The music plays and you read the screen often off a TV. Immortal karaoke songs include I Will Survive, Love Shack and Summer Nights.
