Johann Jakob Froberger (1616–1667) was a German Baroque composer, keyboard virtuoso, and organist. He was among the most famous composers of the era and influenced practically every major composer in Europe by developing the genre of keyboard suite and contributing greatly to the exchange of musical traditions through his many travels. He is also remembered for his highly idiomatic and personal descriptive harpsichord pieces, which are among the earliest known examples of program music. Tobias Froberg already has one album under his belt. 'For Elisabeth Wherever She Is' established Froberg in some folk circles as a idiosyncratic, thoughtful singer songwriter, but failed to register on a broader level. Follow-up 'Somewhere In The City' is a more considered package, entwining a core of melodic acoustic guitar with a variety of other styles. At times tracks on 'Somewhere In The City' have an almost gospel feel. Jocke Boberg worked for the Swedish radio show Salva where he produced a song every week, made up from two or more other songs mixed together to form often hilarious results. Looking for just the right rythms and melodies, most songs mixes consists of one silly song, like an old children's song or humor tune, and one modern hit.
