There are at least three artists using this name: 1. A three-piece post-hardcore band from Sydney, Australia, formed in mid-2008, taking inspiration from Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Ohana, To The North and Steve Reich. They are three people living in Sydney who argue amongst themselves about what genre they are (indie punk?), but who also make music that is angular, unadorned, catchy, contemplative and incisive. Subversive Intentions is noise. this means I orchestrate my music outside the norms of western music and therefore your ears. My intention is to create something powerful, and chaotic, in order to present a political outlook that is outside the status co. Modest Intentions is a liquid drum and bass project by Estonian producer Martin Modestov. Born in March 1991, he has always been interested in music ever since he had touched piano at the age of three. At the age of 13 he started to realize that there's something more to simple interest in music and gave first attempt to create some of his own melodies and beats. At the age of 15 he moved on from making music on pre-made "sample libraries" and discovered FL studio where he still creates liquid drum and bass rollers and other genres of music...
Dark Intentions kicked off in late 2002 / early 2003 from their hometown of Breda, the Netherlands. Starting out with writing songs, gradually the style of music evolved into a more modern version of eighties/nineties NY hardcore with thrash/deathmetal influences, resulting in hard and heavy compact songs. The bandmembers come from different musical backgrounds. Bands like Testament, Slayer, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, The Haunted but also Leeway, the Cro-Mags, Biohazard and numerous other artists all have a big influence on their music.
