The Crow Quill Night Owls are a band that plays jug band, jazz, and string band music of the 1920's and 1930's. They were formed in 2007 by guitarist Kit "Stymee" Stovepipe and tenor banjoist Windy City Alex. They've since added Baylin Adahere on washtub bass. The group fluctuates from a duo to a six person band and often features members of other bands in similar genres.

Words From http://www.naturalbeardy.com/2011/05/crow-quill-night-owls-snake-liquor.html:

Kit "Stymee" Stovepipe and his Crow Quill Night Owls are one of the northwest's best kept secrets. Everyone knows the northwest is loaded with interesting, bearded folkies, but none quite compare to Kit Stovepipe. Eugenians grew to love Kit's signature resophonic guitar and jug band jazz style during his years with The Inkwell Rhythm Makers, a band that many locals still remember fondly. After relocating to Port Townsend, WA, Kit didn't waste much time before starting his next project called The Crow Quill Night Owls. Still pickin' the sounds of jug band, country blues, hillbilly, and pre-war jazz, The Crow Quill Night Owls are part of a northwest revival movement you might call 'post-modern jug band' music (Other notables in the genre: Kitchen Syncopators, Blair Street Mugwumps, The Gallus Brothers). Their dedication to the pre-war, old-timey aesthetic is admirable and equally entertaining. .
