There are two artists recording under the name, FDR

1) fdr is an experimental set from Thessaloniki, Greece. (new page under Flight Data Recorder).
Their first CD went out under the Ambrosia Records label in 1999. It was recorded between 1996-1999 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Hard to find. Soon it will become availble through the artist page in LastFM. The Binn Bhan project was recordered in Galway, Ireland 2006-8. It tries to capture the wildness and breathtaking beauty of the Irish west coast landscape and atmosphere, a place of history and sorrow. "To hell or to Connacht" could be the album sub-title.
Binn Bhan is the highest pick in Connemara.
To avoid mixing the group with the one described below fdr uses a new LastFM space under the full name of the group: Flight Data Recorder


2) FDR is a recording artist living in New York. In the fall of 2005, he began a project to write and record 50 songs in 50 days- one song a day. From his bedroom apartment on Avenue C - overlooking the FDR drive, the east river and the lighted city skyline - he completed a new song each night between October 14th and Dec. 6th. FDR played all the instruments for the album, including, drums, bass, guitars, piano, and organ. The resulting album features 32 of these songs on 3 discs and was self-released in the spring of 2006 under Rusty Muffler Records. FDR says "If you play it loud you'll hear the ambulances, buses and traffic roaring by on the FDR drive." In addition, FDR toured with Architecture in Helsinki. Another album, Pawnshop Romance, was released in the spring of 2007.
