Aesthetic was formed in the middle of 2003 with different members (some of which have moved onto puritan leaving the only original member Mark.) After many line up changes and problems with people in the band Aesthetic settled on their line up of Mark Solomon on guitar, Ryan Williams on guitar, Erik Wilson on bass, and Tristan Burns on drums. Esthetic Education was founded in 2004 in Kyiv, Ukraine by Louis Franck, a Belgian filmmaker and photographer living in London, together with two former members of the successful Ukrainian band Океан Ельзи - keyboard player Dima Shurov and bassist Yura Khustochka. The band quickly recorded the basic tracks for their debut, but spent another six months refining what would become Face Reading. Successful concerts in the UK and Ukraine followed, and Franck moved to Kyiv, allowing him to concentrate more on the band.
