There is more than one artist with the name Beggar: 1) A British mod band formed in late 1977 in a Welsh village called Mountain Ash, perhaps most well-known for participating in the 1979 "Mods Mayday" gig in Canning Town, London, England. They disbanded in the summer of 1980. 2) A currently active Christian band that have released their debut album, Scraps of Grace. Inspired by both biblical text and real-life experiences, Scraps of Grace brings a new voice to Christian music. It was winter of 2008 and the winds swept across the midwestern fields. Stripped of their possessions and scrounging to survive, five young men (mere boys in some eyes) howled in the night as they formed a rebellious band of wild outcasts. The album was awarded a 10/10 review from Subba Cultcha and Notion Magazine described it as 'a wonderful, wordless music that seeks to evoke memories of...
Spiritual Beggars are a stoner rock/metal band from Halmstad, Sweden. They formed in 1992 and debuted with a self-titled album in 1994. Spiritual Beggars are basically a reversion to true rock roots. In other words a musical drug, an addictive blend of severity and harmony. Current lineup Michael Amott (Arch Enemy, Carcass) - Guitars Apollo Papathanasio (Firewind) - Vocals Sharlee D'Angelo (Arch Enemy, Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Dismember) - Bass Per Wiberg (Opeth) - Keyboards...
