Carnivore was an American crossover thrash metal band formed by Peter Steele (later of Type O Negative fame) out of the ruins of the Brooklyn hard rock group Fallout. They released two albums: Carnivore (1985) and Retaliation (1987). The band broke up not long thereafter.
The first album is more traditionally metal-sounding, drawing inspiration from Black Sabbath, Motörhead and 1970s Judas Priest, while the second has significant hardcore punk/crossover influence. Both are fit neatly into the speed thrash genre, however. Dormant Carnivore was founded in 2005 as experimental one man project. In autumn of 2007 2 vocalists joined the band (one of Aborted Fetus and another of Offalmincer, FatalError), in winter of the same year they found bassist and drummer. Band made several gigs in Russia. In november of 2008 Promo CD was released (only 100 copies). At the moment DC are recording slams for the first album. .
Springtime Carnivore was born on the night of a full moon in the summer of the year of the dragon. She is the seventh of twelve siblings. Her father was a painter and her mother baked wedding cakes. Her favorite color is turquoise. Her favorite food is purple Pez. In a past life she slept beneath the stars in far away Western places and died in a gun fight with Annie Oakley.
Following high school, Springtime Carnivore joined a traveling circus company. She was a talented and nimble acrobat but her career was cut short by a tragic tightrope accident....
Carnivore Diprosopus is slamming brutal death metal band from Bogotá, Colombia. They started out in 2002 with Oscar Macias (vocals) and Diego Hoyos (drums). Later found guitarist Juan Pablo Ramirez who wanted to make big changes in the band with Santiago on bass.
They are strongly influenced by bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Broken Hope, Suffocation, Internal Bleeding, Dying Fetus, Dehumanized, Skinless, Vomit Remnants, Pantera, Brujeria, and the like.
When the line-up was complete the band started to write songs and decided to record a 3-track demo CD entitled "Sick Nurse". After that they played in Bogotá's Grind Death Fest...
