Eiko Shimamiya (島みやえい子, formerly known as 島宮えい子; also known as EIKO and PEKO), born April 20, is a female composer and singer-songwriter performing mostly electronic music in a style close to folktronica or trip-hop, though her works also include trance, new age, electro-rock and folk music. She was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, and now resides in Chitose. She has been a member of the production team I've Sound since their debut album in 1999, though she just released her first solo single in 2006.
