The Bumble Bees were a garage rock band from Den Haag, Zuid Holland, Netherlands, who released three 7" singles between 1966-67. Their line-up consisted of Jim ten Boske (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Joop Lelieveld (guitar, vocals), Rene Bakker (bass) and Nico Overgaauw (drums). B. Bumble and the Stingers were an instrumental ensemble from the early 1960s, who specialized in rocking up classical melodies. At Rendezvous Records in Los Angeles, the house band had a hit record with a rocked-up version of "In The Mood", credited to the Ernie Fields Orchestra. This project was a collaboration between Gregory Carmichael, Patrick Adams, and Joey Badlotto, and unsurprisingly, the sound is in the vein of Phreek, Cloud One and the Universal Robot Band. The big difference is that all the vocals are sped up, presumably to resemble how bees would sound if placed in the studio. .
