Metalstep is an ambigious term that is loosly used to refer to any artist or band that combines elements of varying 2-step styles (eg: dubstep) with elements of varying metal styles (eg: death metal).
The term is used loosly as their has been no precedent for how artists utilise these varying musical attributes, and so the overall collective of artists is somewhat diverse, offering a collage of musical inteprettations with roots in varying styles. .
