Fingerprints, the popular Dallas based sextet, is known as “one of the best kept music secrets in the South.” For many years standing room-only crowds have been lining up to hear the perfect blend of jazz and R&B by the Fingerprints musicians at venues and music festivals throughout the South and Southwest. With five accomplished CDs to date (Fingerprints, Reunion Live, Summertime Music, DNA and the newest release Dream Life), the distinguished sound of Fingerprints has been shaped through the years by its long-term members: Frederick Nichelson (bass), Claud Hardrick (saxophone, flute, vocals), Tim Jones (lead vocals, percussion), Kennan Wylie (drums, percussion), Jordache Grant (keyboards), and Robert Lacroix (guitar).

An exceptional guitar band. Jeff and Mike trade leads while Steve thrusts a wicked bass into the guitar line. Lead singer Mark Throne has a particular distinctive vocal delivery and is a flamboyant live performer. Anglophiles to the nines, their music is flavored with style and tremendous orginality. Fingerprints has two previous Twin/Tone records, an EP and a single. "Down" was arranged by former bandsman Rob Henry.

Fingerprints is also the name of a short lived Swedish AOR project, comprised of Bjorn Strom (vocals), Jorgen Ingestrom (keyboards) and Thomas Axelsson (bass). They released the lone album, "Time Is All We Need" in 1989. The album has since become a cult classic of sorts among fans of the genre. .
