Hello Colorado...I am teaching a Master Voice Class in Grand Junction; May 8th, it is part of the Arts and Jazz Weekend. The class is for any singer (amatuer or professional) who wants to enhance their technique. Participants will gain vocal expertise and greater insight into how the voice and style are combined in each performance. OH Yeah!!! My band is playing on that weekend too on Main Street. May 9th. Hey Denver I am involved in an amazing project. July 11, 2009. I will host a birthday party bash. Corey Harris will be performing. I am so excited. Teikyo Loretto Heights Center for the Performing Arts, 3000 South Federal Blvd is the place to be on July 11, 2009. Please come help me build a school in Akokoamong, Ghana. This is an area that has never had a school. We take so much for granted here in America. Education is a privilege that many children in Ghana will never experience. The Sisters of Loretto and the Daughters of the Holy Trinity want to provide this priveledge, this gift of education to the chidren of Akokoamong. I invite you to go to www.lorettocommunity.org. Come back to the home page, click on the Rhythm and Drums icon and get information on the July 11, 2009 benefit. The school will cost $760,000, and we have raised approximately $500,000. We expect to raise the remaining $260,000 through this concert.
Hey did y'all hear the good news? I was awarded the honor of being "One of the 150 people who make Denver a better place to live". My dear friends Todd Park Mohr, Brian Nevin & Rob Squires were singled out for their band's success in putting Denver on the Rock 'n Roll map. Dianne Reeves was aslo singled out for her contributions to the international & national jazz worlds. The Fray and String Cheese bands were sited for their stellar performances. It is a great honor. I am humbled to be in the company of the other 149 honorees. There were many faces that I knew and many names that I was thrilled to read about. I want to thank all the people who sent in my name for nomination. I want to tell everyone who reads this that I am proud to call Denver my home.
