Stockholm, Sweden's Tender Souvenirs has developed their own distinctive brand of post-rock by conjuring up a massive wall of sound of ever-shifting nuances. Vocals and trumpet drift in and out a psychedelic weave of guitars and keyboards backed by the solid pounding of double drummers. Although based in Austin, Texas, the retro-swing outfit 8½ Souvenirs drew much of their inspiration from European artists like Django Reinhardt, Serge Gainsbourg and Nino Rota; led by French expatriate singer/guitarist Olivier Giraud, the group was formed in 1988, and originally also comprised bassist Todd Wulfmeyer and drummer Adam Berlin. 1. Souvenirs is a danish pop group formed in 1993 at Suldrup. The group consists of Sofie Bonde (vocals and guitar) and Nils Torp (bass, keyboards, guitar, violin, cello, accordion, vocals). Their music is composed by Nils Torp and Johnny Voss.
