Summoning 1993 yılında bir barda tanışan; Silenius (Michael Gregor), Protector (Richard Lederer) ve Trifixion (Alexander Trondl) tarafından kuruldu. Protector, Summoning’ten önce “Marlignom” adında bir thrash/death grubunda bateri çalıyordu. Hatta neredeyse Peaceville ile anlaşma bile imzalıyordu lakin grup dağıldı.. İlk müzikal tecrübesi ise 15 yaşında çaldığı bir rock grubu ve 4 sene boyunca aldığı bateri eğitimiydi. Grup “Upon The Viking’s Stallion” ve “Anno Mortiri Domini” adlı iki demodan sonra, “Minas Morgul” adlı bir de promo piyasaya sürdü. Demolarda yer alan çoğu şarkı daha sonra CD’lerde yer aldı.. Bestial Summoning was a quite early black metal band from The Netherlands with two demos and a full length. The band was formed in 1991 and had quite a following in the underground scene in the beginning of the 90's. The full-length is fully dedicated to former Mayhem singer Dead, who committed suicide in 1991. In 2002 a compilation of old material was released through War Hammer Records. On the 8th of August 2008, Conscicide committed suicide on his 35th birthday. .
