Brutal Death metal grubu Disgorge 1992 yılında California'da Bryan Ugartechea, Tony Freithoffer ve Ricky Myers tarafından kuruldu. Disgorge kısa zamanda bu türün en önemli grupları arasında yerini alacaktı. Kısa bir süre sonra bulunduğu bölgeden taşınan grubun amacı Disgorge ismini underground piyasada yaymaktı. Bu yer değişimi esnasında Bryan Ugartechea (bas/vokal) ile yollar ayrıldı. Brian'ın yerine Matti Way (vokal) ve Eric Flesy (bas) geçti.
