There are six groups with this name: 1) The Four Horsemen were a band that had brief popularity in the late 1980's and early 1990's. They were based out of Hollywood California. Their 1st full-length CD, called "Nobody Said It Was Easy", was produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin. Their fame was fleeting but full of tragedy. Their original drummer Dimwit passed away from a drug overdose on September 27, 1994. Frank C. Starr was killed by a drunk driver while driving his motorcycle down Sunset Strip. In late 1968, David Bowie briefly led a trio called Feathers, which also included his girlfriend Hermione Fatheringale on vocals and guitar, and guitarist John "Hutch" Hutchinson (who had played with Bowie in 1966 as part of the Buzz). More folk-rockish than other Bowie endeavors before or since, they were a multi-media group that, in addition to performing songs by Bowie and Jacques Brel, used tape recordings and mime. Feathers never released any recordings, but Fatheringale and Hutchinson did play on a couple of unreleased Bowie 1968 tracks, "Ching-A-Ling" (which eventually came out on the 1984 early Bowie rarities LP...
Pale Horse and Rider was a short-lived collaboration between Jon DeRosa and Marc Gartman. Their recordings featured a variety of performers in supporting roles, including Alan Sparhawk (Low), Charles Newman (Flare), Paul Oldham (Palace Brothers) and Mike Pride. .

Their unusual name was taken from the title of a seminal album by 2 piece Californian noise merchants Hella; whom they don't sound anything like. The band released 1 album and several EP's becore calling it a day in April 2014 .
