There are two bands called Earwig, each with a totally different sound. One band is from England, the other from America. The European band to go by this name was a small English trio consisting of Kristy Yates on vocals and bass guitar, Sergei Tardo on guitars and piano, and Dimitri Voulis. La-Di-Da Productions released their first 12 inches "Hardley" and "Might" in 1991. The Earwigs formed in 1978 in Los Angeles and played venues with friends and mentors The Last and The Urinals. The band broke up in 1981 after contributing tracks to "Keats Rides A Harley" and "Warfrat Tales". A partial reunion (minus guitarist Kevin Kerns who passed away in '03) took place in '05 at the CD release party of the aforementioned compilations. .
