ザ・クロマニヨンズ (The Cro-Magnons) is a Japanese punk rock band formed by former members of THE BLUE HEARTS and ↑THE HIGH-LOWS↓. After the latter’s disbandment, guitarist 真島昌利 (Mashima Masatoshi) proposed the idea of creating a new band to vocalist 甲本ヒロト (Kōmoto Hiroto). Having performed and recorded music together since the early eighties, the two of them recruited bassist 小林勝 (Kobayashi Masaru) and drummer 桐田勝治 (Kirita Katsuji), and started activities as The Cro-Magnons in July 2006.
