THE-PULSAR был организован в Санкт-Петербурге в 1996 году. За отправную точку своих изысканий музыканты взяли творчество классиков EBM, таких как Front 242 и Front Line Assembly. В связи с невысокой популярностью в России жесткой электронной музыки и "дарк" культуры в целом, THE-PULSAR оставались в тени до 2005-го года. Известность группа приобрела после выхода на Advoxya records альбома «Awakening». Начиная с этого времени, группа активно концертирует и сотрудничает с другими коллективами. THE-PULSAR выступали на одной сцене с такими известными российскими и европейскими коллективами как Haujobb и Colony 5, AlteraForma и T.3.R.
