Abe Asami is the younger sister of former Morning Musume member Abe Natsumi. She started her career doing CMs for products such as the Nintendo Game Cube, and appeared in a few Japanese dramas. Asami entered the J-Pop music scene in 2003 following in her sister’s footsteps with some success. She has sometimes been referred to as the anti-Natsumi, with music that is a bit darker and more melancholy than her “idol” sister.
