"Antònia Font" is a catalan pop band from Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. The band was formed in 1997. Their music is basically festive and their lyrics are funny, inventive and realistic; they focus on space, astronomy and everything related with astronauts, but also on the everyday reality, establishing a constant game between a local and a universal or cosmic perspective of the world we are immersed in. All their lyrics are written in Catalan. Jane Antonia Cornish is a British Academy Award winning composer who grew up in England and lives in New York City. Cornish has written music for both the concert hall and films. She was Composer in Residence at the inaugural Chelsea Music Festival, created by conductor and Grammy nominated producer Ken David Masur and Steinway artist Melinda Lee Masur.
