Jan Dukes De Grey was a progressive-folk band, and only released two albums in their short life span. Jan Dukes De Grey formed in 1969 and were one of the very last prog rock bands to be signed to Decca's prog label. They originally started out as just a duo and were rivals to glam-rock band T Rex. Their first album, "Sorcerers" was a typical acid folk album, not particularly adventurous but showcased Derek Noy's and Michael Bairstow's multi-instrumental talents. There is more than one artist called The Dukes: (1) The Dukes are a 4 piece rock and roll band from Cincinnati, OH. Their sound is reminiscent of 60s rock and roll, but it has the energy and minimalist approach of modern garage rock. Members include Lucas Frazier, Luke Darling, Randy Proctor, and Dave Reid. (2) The Dukes were formed from a supergroup of musicians in the late 70's. The members included singer Miller Anderson, guitarist Jimmy McCulloch, Ronnie Leahy and bassist Charlie Tumahai. Only one album was put out before Jimmy McCulloch died. (3) The Dukes are a four-piece...

In interviews Ted Nugent said he has been given the book on many occasions but still hasn't gotten around to reading it.[1] The Amboy Dukes...

Their untimely deaths, Freddie in 1966 (36) and Frank in 1974 (42) ended the reign of the Dukes of Dixieland. But instead of their legacy being left to be properly respected others stepped in to profit and mislead the...
