It was in 1989 when three individuals came together to form Archgoat. Those individuals went by the pseudonyms Angelslayer (Growls of the Fullmoon), Ritual Butcherer (Axe of Black Mass) and Blood Desecrator (Bombardment). Two years later, in 1991, they released a demo called "Jesus Spawn" and played a few liveshows. They signed a contract to Necroplis Records and released "Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration)" in 1993. They were meant to release a full-length but they split-up before. It was in 2004 when they reunited and the EP "Angelslaying Black Fucking Metal" got released through Hammer of Hate Records. They started intensive touring and played many shows with bands like Krieg, Proclamation, Necros Christos, Hell Militia, Behexen and others. Only Blood Desecrator was replaced by another member called Sinister Karppinen. In late 2006 their first full-length called "Whore of Bethlehem" was released, a tour in May 2006 along with Black Witchery from USA is going to follow. .
