Bandgeschichte
Die Swans wurden 1982 von Michael Gira gegründet, bis zu ihrer Auflösung 1997 wechselten die Bandmitglieder häufig. Das Album "The Burning World", das einzige, das bei einer Majorplattenfirma erschienen ist, wurde von Bill Laswell produziert und war finanziell und künstlerisch eine Katastrophe für Michael Gira.
