Kasabian ist eine britische Rockband aus Leicester. Später gesellte sich dann noch Gitarrist Christopher Karloff nach einem Pub-Besuch zur Band. Ihren Namen leitet die Band von einem Artikel über den Massenmörder Charles Manson ab: Die Frau, die den Fluchtwagen der Manson Family nach den Mordanschlägen auf dem Tate/Polanski-Anwesen fuhr, hieß Linda Kasabian, was auf armenisch bzw. persisch „Schlachter“ bedeutet.
