There are several artists under the name Gort. 1. Hungarian black/dark metal Gort is the predecessor of Thy Catafalque created by Tamás Kátai, János Juhász, Zoltán Kónya (Gire) and Péter Gáspár. Playing some kind of odd, dark metal with black metallish elements released only one EP in 2000. The EP contains four different songs: Worldshade, Thou Luna Black, Awakening, A Forest Myth, but they are melted into one 20 minutes long track called Forest myths. The group was founded over 10 years ago but with its present members has been playing only for few months. Over the years the members of the group have changed and the band have defined its music. Because of the changes of the musicians, the style and sound of the group have also changed. But today, after the premiere of the first LP "NEW BETTER EXISTENCE" we can admire the highly developed material, which enjoys a lot of interest. SWISS GRIND/BRUTAL DEATH BIOGRAPHY Amagortis was formed in 2001 by Daniel, Stoef and friends. Together they created the unique band name. In August of 2002 the band recorded a three song demo containing three groovy tracks of death metal brutality. After several member changes the band members consist of Daniel (Guitar and back vocals), Pascal (Vocals), Stoef (Drums) and Nat (Bass). GORTAL was established in 1996 by Chryste (guitar). The first line up was completed a few months later: Cukier (vocals), Chryste (guitar), Patryk (drums), Bengarek (bass) and Major (guitar). From the very beginning the band has been devoted to classic death metal with a touch of the US style. Gortal started to play gigs in spring of 1998.
