Coleman "Hawk" Hawkins (* 21. November 1904 in St. Joseph, Missouri, USA; † 19. Mai 1969 in New York USA) war ein Jazzmusiker. Er gilt als erster bedeutender Solist auf dem Tenorsaxophon.
Mit vier Jahren wurde Hawkins durch seine Mutter dazu gebracht, Piano zu lernen, mit sieben Jahren begann er Cello zu lernen und mit neun Jahren Saxophon. Seine ersten Auftritte hatte er im Alter von zwölf Jahren bei Schulveranstaltungen. Er studierte Musik in Topeka. 1924 begann er in der Band von Fletcher Henderson zu spielen.

While his mother, Jean, was shooting a television show in Mexico, and coincidentally pregnant with Randy, she was accidentally injured during filming and began to lose her unborn child. Going against Mexican federal law, she refused to terminate the pregnancy. And with that, she saved Randy's life.

Andrew Coleman is perhaps better known for his alter ego Animals on Wheels. Under that moniker, he released two albums and an EP for the highly respected Ninja Tune label , in addition to numerous 12"s and compilation appearances on his own landmark Bovinyl imprint. Along with Bovinylmate Adam "Vert" Butler, Coleman was largely responsible for the UK jungle offshoot "drill n' bass" scene. .
