There are at least two artists by the name of Predawn: 1. Guitarist and singer-songwriter Miwako Shimizu began her solo project Predawn in 2008. The name was inspired by Mimei Ogawa (1882-1961), the father of modern Japanese children's literature. Predawn is based in Tokyo but she has performed at many festivals in Japan including Fuji Rock Festival and apbank fes in 2009 and 2010. predia (known as pre-dia until December 2011) is a Japanese pop idol group that formed in 2010 under the agency Platinum Passport. They made their indies debut with the single "Dia Love" in 2011 under the label Jolly Roger and in 2014 they made their major debut with the single "壊れた愛の果てに" under the label Nippon Crown. Noahjohn were a psychedelic country band from Madison, Wisconsin, led by Carl Johns. Formed in 1997 they released three albums between 1999 and 2003, Tadpoles, Had A Burning and Water Hymns, before disbanding in 2005. Johns went on to record under the name Charlemagne. .

Predella Avant was born in the Autumn of 2000 as a means of exploring within a broad musical spectrum, ranging from cold and sacral soundscapes/ambience to triumphant and bombastic orchestral compositions.
