Mercyful Fate ist eine Heavy Metal-Band aus Dänemark, die einen starken Einfluss auf die sich in den 80er Jahren entwickelnden Stilrichtungen Black Metal, Thrash Metal und Progressive Metal ausübte.
Gegründet wurde die Gruppe 1981 von Sänger Kim Bendix Petersen alias King Diamond und Gitarrist Hank Shermann in Kopenhagen.
Musikalisch zeichnen sich Mercyful Fate durch virtuose Gitarrenarbeit und häufige Tempowechsel aus. Charakteristisch ist die von normaler Stimmlage häufig in Falsett wechselnde Stimme von King Diamond. Ihr 1984 erschienenes Album "Don't Break The Oath" gilt als eine der wichtigsten wegweisenden Heavy Metal Scheiben der 80er Jahre.

No Mercy ist eine Popgruppe, die lange Zeit in Deutschland produziert wurde.
Die von Frank Farian produzierte Gruppe besteht aus Marty Cintron und den Zwillingen Ariel und Gabriel Hernandez. Frank Farian entdeckte Marty Cintron 1995 in einem Strandcafé in Miami Beach/Florida und wollte ihn sofort unter Vertrag nehmen. Der holte seine Freunde mit an Bord und so war No Mercy geboren.
Mit ihrer Debütsingle Missing (im Original von Everything but the Girl) erreichten sie 1995 schon Platz 18 in den deutschen Charts. Where Do You Go (ursprünglich ein Titel von La Bouche) erreichte dann sogar mit einer Top 5-Platzierung Gold...
Formed in early 1999 from the ashes of seminal alt/goth-rock band The Altar, the group recorded & released a series of semi-anonymous demo mp3s on now defunct internet music site mp3.com during 1999. the success of these early recordings online [the tracks Misericordia & Resurrection Complex topped mp3.com's Industrial, Darkwave, Oceania & New Zealand charts] quickly caught the attention of fledgling new Zealand indie label numb/benign records. numb/benign released The Mercy Cage debut album Wire in January 2000. A track from Wire, Trauma/Skin Chamber also featured on the Club Bizarre dark-end compilation Blackmarket.
