Kadebostany ist eine Popband aus der Schweizer Stadt Genf, welche 2008 gegründet wurde. Laut ihren eigenen Angaben stammen sie aber aus der kleinen europäischen Republik „Kadebostan“. Sie schafften 2013 mit ihrem Album Pop Collection den Durchbruch in der Schweiz und wurden als einzige Band dreifach für die Swiss Music Awards nominiert. A new project commissioned by Unsound and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, The National Fanfare of Kadebostany represents an exciting meeting point between East and West Europe, electronic and acoustic instruments. Kadebostan is Swiss-based producer with releases on Freude Am Tanzen and Fenou, and has performed at past Unsound events, as well as clubs such as Watergate. Rational Diet is an acoustic chamber ensemble based in Minsk, with members in the Belarus Presidential Orchestra. They perform a mix of improvised, experimental and noise music, and have released on the Italian AltrTock label as well as the Polish label Audiotong....

Kadebostan’s productions are multi-influenced. From dirty infectious electronic rythms to classical oriental orchestration, he melts it into one new thing, a unique vision of music with astonishing power and beauty. To achieve what he is looking for, Kadebostan explores unexpected grounds and even records original musicians like a Minsk chamber orchestra, street musicians from Romania... Released on labels such as Freude-am-Tanzen, Mental Groove and Fenou, his EP’s and remixes have all been highly acclaimed, leading him to perform live or as a dj in clubs like the Watergate, the Panorama Bar (Berlin), the Bunker (New York) to name a few....
