TRANSTIC NERVE was founded in 1995 in the town of Himeji, with the starting lineup of Taka on vocals, Masato and Tao on guitars, Ryo on bass and Masaki on drums. Their first album, Transonic Vision", was released in August of 1997, and the band also took part in The End of The Century Rock IV omnibus around this time as well. Coming out of the late eighties garage-rock revival scene of New York City, The Optic Nerve are something of a wonderful enigma. Rather than measuring out bland anti-establishment rants and bursts of pseudo-revolutionary blah-rock, they chose instead to hark back to the days when rock was loving crafted.
