Mitbegründer des Schallplattenlabels und Musikverlages atatak (Mehr als 150 Veröffentlichungen seit 1979), Mitglied der Musikperformancegruppen "Der Plan"(bis 1992), "Fehlfarben", "Bombay 1", "a certain frank" und "burkina electric". Außerdem war er Gründungsmitglied von Deutsch-Amerikanische Freundschaft und spielte auf deren Debüt "Ein Produkt der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Freundschaft" von 1979 mit. Er produzierte mehr als 250 Schallplatten und CDs und war dabei auf über 150 Veröffentlichungen als Komponist, Musiker und Softwareprogrammierer tätig. Seine Hauptinstrumente sind die vom Synthesizerpionier Donald Buchla gebauten MIDI-Controller "Thunder" und "Lightning II”, bei denen die Steuerung der Musik durch die Bewegung oder den Druck der Hände geschieht.

Porno for Pyros war eine US-amerikanische Rockband, die zwischen 1993 und 1997 existierte. Sie bestand aus den Jane's Addiction-Mitgliedern Perry Farrell und Stephen Perkins sowie dem Gitarristen Peter DiStefano und dem niederländischen Bassisten Martyn LeNoble.
Die ersten Veröffentlichung „Porno for Pyros“, deren Name eine Anspielung auf Sensationsjournalismus im amerikanischen Fernsehen war, enthielt einen kleinen Hit namens „Pets“.
Nachdem sich LeNoble während der Aufnahmen zum zweiten Album „Good Gods Urge“ wegen Drogenbesitzes im Gefängnis aufhielt, wurden aus Unwissenheit über seinen Verbleib verschiedene Vertreter engagiert, u. a. Flea von den Red Hot Chili Peppers und Mike Watt, der auch als Tourbassist diente....
