There are at least three artists with this name.

1) An up-and-coming singer and songwriter, Nicolai is no stranger to the music scene. A seasoned background vocalist for some of the biggest names in the Jamaican music industry, she released her independently-produced Christian CD, 'Journey', to critical acclaim in 2001.

Nicolai is currently writing and recording songs in anticipation of her re-emergence as a solo artist in 2008. "I've gone through major life-changing events since my debut album," she asserts. "I want to capture my experiences and the lessons I'm learning in songs that are authentic - you know, REAL - and inspirational. Not preachy - some of my songs don't mention 'Jesus', yuh nuh - but definitely reflecting my Christian world view, no matter what the topic."


In the meantime, he can be seen on stage as a vocalist for living legend Beres Hammond. She also continues her work as a session singer for recording projects and radio and tv jingles. In addition, she conducts what she describes as a 'tiny teaching practice', giving voice lessons to professional and amateur singers. "Got to earn a living!" she quips, flashing her trademark grin. "And I get to earn money doing things I'm passionate about. Kinda cool!"

2) Danish teenager Nicolai Kielstrup, who won the Danish childrens melodifestival and represented Denmark at the junior Eurovision festival, placing fourth. He has a self-titled album out in November 2006, and a website at http://www.nicolaikielstrup.dk


3) Nicolai Mccrary, a known artist by his peers. a.k.a. The Nicolai. He creates music in his bedroom in his spare time. He also has made music with other artists in the local area, where you can find the links on the myspace.
